A Custom Made Sandback Is Only A Few Clicks Away

Peter Sandback has been crafting functional but fascinating pieces for decades. Now, Peter is opening up his workshop for customized orders on his new sleek design: the drum table. Sandback’s newest additions to his line emanate both quality and simplicity. Whether you’re redesigning your living room or opening a new business, you can customize these tables’ color, height, circumference, and inlays to fit your style.

Indulge your imagination in the endless array of options: choose from a variety of sizes, the type of wood for the table top, the color of lacquered base, and the pattern of inlaid nails. Or, keep it very simple and leave the nail inlay off, and allow the natural wood grain patterns to decorate your space. These tables make beautiful focal pieces in a display by adding a touch of minimalist charm.

READY TO GET STARTED?

  1. Enter Your Contact Info

First off, you’ll just need to provide a few things so the workshop can contact you about your order. If we need to clarify or double-check, this is how we’ll get in touch to make sure we get it right.

2. Opt for Plain or Nail Inlay

Whether or not you plan to take the nail inlay option, it’s certainly worth a look. Sandback is known for the beauty of these patterned inlays, and these intricate designs will have you leaving your table empty as a work of art in itself. You can leave your table top as-is, or choose from one of four inlay patterns.

3. Choose the Size

The Sandback drum tables come in several heights (17, 21, or 24 inches) and circumferences (8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 24, or 28 inches) so that you can design them to fit your space exactly. Perhaps you’ll place a first-edition book or a set of hand-sculpted statues atop these made-to-order tables. No matter your plans, a moment with the measuring tape will help you make the best choice.

4. Decide on a Wood Type

Your next step is to pick the right type of wood, and you have eight beautiful choices. Choose the blackened charcoal look of the black oak – pair it with a subtle shade of brown or gray for the base, or make a bold statement with hot pink. Or, choose the rich swirls of walnut burl, and pair it with a white base for the ultimate in rustic-meets-modern.

5. Nail Inlay

You have four great designs to choose from: the circle pattern is a reminder of the days of LPs, while the line pattern will give you a sense of balance and symmetry. The star pattern is reminiscent of fireworks bursting along the skyline, and the floral pattern – the most intricate of the four – is a breath-taking work of art.

6. Pick a Color

The lacquered bases come in your choice of 12 colors. Mix and match for a more psychedelic set of tables, or keep it sleek and sophisticated with a single hue.
